26th – 30th: The last working week [and the first goodbyes]

A week so equal and yet so different to some many others before. Because it was the last.
On Monday we went through the project presentation structure and making our designs in AutoCAD. We also found out Piort was not going to be there anymore this week, so it was the first goodbye we had – and without notice :P And Monday was the first of many days when we stayed there a bit later to make sure everything was done on time :)

Tuesday at work was still about designs, reports and presentation. Good home with still AutoCAD homework and with a goodbye dinner to prepare :P My bike wasn’t working [the seat was always going down] so Mike and me borrowed the bikes from Tudor to go and buy the food at Bilka. On the way back I went back to the room and Michael took over the cooking coordination. Not everyone was in the dinner, but the people who actually talk to each other were – and, though it might sound bad :P I think that really made it a true goodbye dinner, even more real and cosy. Runa, Maggie, Alex, Tudor, Mike, Michael, Kamil [our “homeless” ;)] – I’m going to miss them all!

Wednesday was a “normal” day, with work and finalising the project presentation – which started at work and ended at home :P Thursday was the presentation of the project, which went well :) and we got 3 ‘gifts’: a Aarhus Kommune pen, a photo book of Aarhus :D and a recommendation letter :D :D !! Next was focusing on finishing the report, which again started at work and ended at home. Well, the computer didn’t like AutoCAD and other programs to run at the same time, so part of the time wasn’t really working, was just waiting for it to “unfroze” :P but in the end we managed to have a nice report done :)

Friday morning was the time to burn the CD with files, while Ivo had his room inspection. Then we cycled to work – good thing it was downhill, otherwise I have no clue how I’d use the bike lol It was a very relaxed trip there with stops on the way to take photos and with Føtex as a final destination to buy the cakes for lunch – we decided to offer then as desert and not have a party, as we don’t really know all that well the people, but we still wanted to make a small gesture for goodbye :) I walked all the way up with the bike and the cakes and by the time we were there, it was time to go to the canteen and leave the cakes. We had a small notice paper to say goodbye and it was really cool to have a lot of people talking to us during the lunch/ post-lunch time to say thank you for the cakes and to know how our experience was and what we’d be doing next ;)

Back home, it was time for me to go back to preparing the trainings – an interactive preparation with discussions with Tania via gtalk ;) [which was very cool] – and a break for about 1/2h to join Ivo in his goodbye party. I took my last Pimm’s with me, since it fit the context :) Afterwards they went to join the bar party and I went back to my room to finish everything and prepare all the details for the weekend :D
